The mandate of the Kahnawà:ke Governance Project is to facilitate a collaborative community process for the transition to traditional government respecting the people’s 1979 mandate and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke’s 2024 Declaration on Restoring Traditional Government and the Authority of the Rotinonhshón:ni Confederacy.
